Background & pedigree
Direct operating experience for the moments when the numbers have to hold up.
Estero Bay Strategic Management exists for owners who are tired of translating the business twice: once for the team and again for the bank. We build the operating system underneath the story.

Paul Francis Schmieder · Managing Principal
A controller, CFO, and operating partner when the business needs one.
Paul has spent more than two decades in executive turnaround leadership, industrial manufacturing management, and capital-intensive operations—including leadership as a turnaround CEO for commercial ready-mix concrete production enterprises.
He has worked directly with commercial bank relationship managers, equipment finance divisions, and corporate attorneys with verified operational authority. That means he knows how operating decisions show up in DSCR, collateral eligibility, covenants, and a lender’s credit file.
His role is not to deliver an academic report from a distance. It is to step into the operation, establish the handoffs, and defend the normalized numbers in front of the people who decide whether credit gets approved.
Operating focus
Field-to-ledger workflow design
Bank fluency
Direct credit committee defense
Local presence
On-site Southwest Florida execution
How we operate
Field-to-ledger execution, not high-level consulting.
Direct & hands-on
We work with the people who sell, schedule, dispatch, buy, bill, and collect. The system only works when the handoffs do.
Numbers with context
Accruals, WIP, add-backs, and DSCR are only useful when they match the operating reality behind them.
Built to hand off
There are no long-term contract traps. We build durable habits and a clean baseline that can outlast the engagement.
Who we are built for
Owners who need the operation and the bank to see the same business.
Our target clients earn roughly $500K–$25M in annual revenue, work in capital-intensive or project-driven sectors, and have outgrown an informal back office. They may be preparing for a line of credit, managing a covenant, buying equipment, or simply done with finding out what happened after month-end.
